Non-Alcoholic Beverage Label Design
Art Direction • Graphic Design
Pulling from the natural hues of Gore Bay, I worked with the team at Split Rail Brewing Co. to design seltzer labels that felt fresh, bright, pop-py and still true to their established label branding.
Project considerations.
Identifying non-alcoholic nature of drink, using alcoholic label template
When designing the labels, much there was lots of consideration for how to balance the established SR visual brand identity, while ensuring customers could identify the non-alcoholic beverage
Due to the limited space on the glass bottle, the non-alcoholic disclaimer was shifted to the bottom of the label . But on the increased size for the aluminum label, we were able to add the non-alcoholic disclaimer front and centre, above the tasting notes.
Nutrition Label Legibility
Because the label was initially designed for the glass bottles, spacing was quite tight. Much discussion went into ensuring the nutrition label was to size, and the ingredients box was still legible.
This meant the left panel took up more horizontal real estate that previous SR labels.
